Short loops and motion studies by Lee Kow Fong (KF Ko). The gallery tiles are quick previews of illustration-led motion for social posts, site headers, and pitch decks. Read on for how files ship and how to open a brief.

Why short loops work online

A six to twelve second loop reads faster than a long cut when someone scrolls on a phone. I keep silhouettes clean, limit the number of moving layers, and hold one clear focal action so the motion still makes sense at thumbnail size. That discipline comes from editorial illustration habits, only stretched across time instead of a single frame.

Delivery and format

Most requests end as a looping GIF or H.264 MP4 with square or 16:9 framing, depending on where you plan to host it. Layered artwork can stay in Photoshop timelines or simple After Effects comps so your team can swap copy or colour later without rebuilding the whole scene.

Raster exports use the same naming and folder layout as still illustration handoffs, with an extra folder for proxy frames when a client wants to sign off before final encode.

Start a motion inquiry

Share the platform, aspect ratio, length cap, and brand colours when you write in. Still samples for tone live on the Portfolio page. For schedule and rights, use Contact so we can line up rounds of timing sketches before any heavy polish.
